| December Report on Misty Morning Farm Well, let see what has happened in our world so far in Dec 08.. So on the dog front, we took Greenstone Harvest Moon for her Puppy CERF test, and were pleased to have another "Normal" for our records. Ch Greenstone Black Pearl got her CERF renewal, (Normal in Left eye, an PPM Iris to Iris in her Right eye) a bit of a surprise to be me as she had a CERF normal as a puppy, but certainly a good result overall as she of course was cleared for breeding. Then Black Pearl got her Formal OFA Heart Check and I just need to send her paperwork in, so that was great news indeed. Little Harvest Moon was a great hit at the vet clinic and had to be loved by all. I have a wonderful photos session with Harvest Moon, if you would like to see some of these great photos, check them out . PHOTO Snow has arrived, and in a big way! We got a dump of over a foot in just two days and the dogs are loving the snow and the play time outside, but I am so not liking the much colder weather, so a few more shorter runs for the dogs to play with, plus more indoor games and training time to wear out their little minds and bodys.. nothing is sweeter to me then the sounds of content quiet puppies resting after a good romp outside on the farm. Where did the time go! Little Harvest Moon, suddenly to me at least was old enough to head to her new home and she flew without issue and arrived in fine form. She appears to have settled in well, and I look forward to finding out what her new call name will be. Will update more as the month goes by. For the most current photos, check out the link on the front page marked "Current".. enjoy and expect more updates over the next while.. I love to take lots of Christmas photos of the dogs, and we have a ton of company coming for Christmas. We got a number of dogs off to the vet this week for their annual checks and boosters. As always everyone was just fine.. I had to laugh, Black Pearl has had a tiny lump that has been driving me crazy, so I had the vet look at it.. it was a ingrown hair an he just popped it.. Felt a little silly. Very excited to get Black Pearls OFA Hip results back soon, I thought that the x-rays looked good, I will be very happy with a Free, but am hoping for a OFA Good.. will keep everyone posted.. still no signs of her heat yet but she is due in anytime now.. Its now the end of Dec and still no signs of heat on any of the girls..hmmm guess they are going to make me wait.. but they must be coming in over the next little while.. The days are starting to get longer now, and while cold.. hopefully the extra daylight will help move the girls into their heats. Christmas has been a busy time of the year, we had company come from Alberta, and over Ontario, so the dogs loved the extra laps and cuddles and snuggles.. Here are a few photos over the last few days.. so there is Grandma Verla with a few of her furry friends. Then little Duchess, she has spent the last week offering her favorite toy to all the company. |
