Wow, its april already, time has just flown by, here are the photos of Charming and Beauty our little Icelandic Sheepdog Puppies. Both are being loved by their new families. Charming is down by Toronto, Ontario and Beauty is on a farm by Edmonton, Alberta

Its been a busy few weeks, the lambs are all born this for this year, and so far we have nine new little ewe's, and not a single ram lamb at this time.. first time that has ever happened.

The gardens are keeping us very busy, I don't know if I was crazy or not but I agreed to put in a few extra rows of things to give a friend who is expecting a helping hand this year, they spend a good amount at the farmer market buying organic produce, so here's hopeing for some nice bumper crops to fill both our own and their kitchens with fresh produce.

I have expanded my own personal gardens this year by half again, which means that we now have about a 1/4 of an acre in garden at this time, and that does not count the fruit tree's or soft fruit rows, Got two new plum trees to add to our growing collection of fruit, thrilled to see that all our tree's from last year made it throw the winter, always a good thing.

Been out to our first show of the year and and all I can say, is we are all rusty after having the winter off, so have also started going to show handling class once a week to get us all back in the groove, already entered in another six shows over the next six weeks, looking forward to see how the kids do.. really want to finish off a few speicals this year.

Tried out a new vet and so far really like her, down to earth, does house calls and seems very open and willing to work with a breeder and willing to listen to my thoughts, HUGE brownie points on that one! Got to start Heartworm meds early this year as the weather has been so warm that we have to start a month early.. sigh.. I really wish I didn't have to treat the dogs for this but just can't take the risk as we do have posative cases in our local area.

Puppies had me running as always, first temperment tests, then CERF tests, then structure exams, and then tattoo time.. and then off to the vets for shots and checkups, Great results all the way round for them.. all perfect, so nice to have that happen!

Been booking a number of visits to meet the dogs and so that takes up a couple hours each weekend that have been available, as I will be closing the house down during the first couple weeks with the puppies coming, so have been trying to find time for everyone to come meet the dogs, it seems to be a busy spring for that, still its a good thing for the breed.

New chicks and Ducklings arrive next week, plus got a few hens that are going broody and my duck hens are starting to lay nests as well, the rabbits are busy with new litters, and having got the back small pasture newly fenced out last year, its great fun to see the sheep out with their little ones dozing in the fresh air and sunshine, they always had the back pasture but this one is about six times the size, and the end runs on the garden edge and they like to come over and say hello to me while I am out working there. Nothing much cuter then puppies or bopping lambs!

Both momma to be dogs are huge!! Waddle, Waddle, expecting good size litters from them as they still have a bit to go, but new puppy breath on the farm by the end of April!
