Icelandic Sheepdogs
Canadian Icelandic Sheepdog History
Our Beloved Dogs Footprints into the
Icelandic Sheepdog History Books
When I first decided to become a Icelandic Sheepdog Breeder, I knew that this was as very rare breed world wide, and I hoped that I would be able to help save Iceland's National Breed. I knew that I wanted to have one of Canada's Top Icelandic Kennels.

Well dreams do come true..
I am so proud of the many Firsts my Icelandics have done
I felt they deserve a page to tell the world!

Icelandic Sheepdogs have been in Canada for close to 30 years now and they have always been much loved family and farm dogs, but I always knew I wanted more then that for my dogs. I have worked hard to import some of the best Show/Working Bloodlines in Iceland and Europe.

My First Icelandic to earn a CKC Title was
Folda 2003- (Tera), who at just over six months of age earned the first CGN in CKC History!

Congrats to the many ISD's across Canada that have followed in Folda's Footsteps!

My First Icelandic to earn a CKC
Herding Instinct Cert was Folda 2003 in Ontario
, and we flew ten hours to make the test!

Congrats to the many ISD's across Canada that have followed in Folda's Footsteps!

Finally after 10! years of hard work on behalf of all the Canadian Icelandic Sheepdog Owners and Breeders- They moved in CKC Herding Group in March of 2006!

If you are looking for a Icelandic Sheepdog Puppy for your family or if you are thinking about showing or starting a breeding program, we would be happy to give a helping hand. Our dogs have proven themselves, having been shown across Canada, and I have traveled to many different countries to meet the breed and I am blessed with some amazing breed mentors in Iceland and Europe. I have been  active in the Canadian Icelandic Sheepdog Club since its birth in 2001.

The Icelandic Sheepdog has moved into the AKC-Misc Class as of July 2008, and I am quite excited, I am only 40 min from the USA border and as soon as the breed has  Full AKC Status - I look forward to putting a AKC Championship on some of my Top winning Canadian Icelandic Sheepdogs.

Who knows perhaps they will set some new AKC records as well?

!!! AKC News for our Kennels Icelandic Sheepdogs !!!

I am so excited to annouce that
BIS BBE Ch Greenstone Black Pearl
is invited to the AKC Eukanuba National Championship Show in Calf, USA 2008
Whooo Yooooo!!

What a thrill to get my personal invite for her in the mail box. I just had to share it    here, as she is the #1 ISD for 2008, I look forward to her invite for next year as well.           This is wonderful considering she had very limited showing as a puppy in 2007

As the ISD is only in the MISC Class at this time, I will not be sending Black Pearl down to this show.  Waiting for them to be moved over to Herding!
